Chery South Africa (Pty) Ltd trading as Lepas South Africa ("Lepas"). ("the Promoter")

("Competition Period")
3.1. Open to all natural persons who are:
3.1.1. 18 years or older;
3.1.2. Legally resident in the Republic of South Africa; and
3.1.3. Hold a valid South African driver's licence (winner must present this to claim the prize).
3.2. Excluded persons (who may not enter):
3.2.1. Employees, directors, agents, consultants, or suppliers of the Promoters or their affiliated companies;
3.2.2. Immediate family members (spouse, life partner, parents, siblings, children) of the above;
3.2.3. Any person who is not in compliance with these Rules.
Entry into the Competition is free of charge. Participants may enter once only during the Competition Period by completing both of the entry requirements set out below:
4.1. Social Media Entry
Participants must:
4.1.1. Like the official LEPAS Competition post;
4.1.2. Follow LEPAS on the applicable social media platform(s); and
4.1.3. Tag five (5) friends in the comments section of the Competition post
on any of the following platforms: Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, or X.
5.1. One (1) winner will receive a new Lepas L4 vehicle.
5.2. Prize specifics: The Promoters reserve the right to determine the final colour and specification of the vehicle, subject to availability at the time of award. Images used in advertising are for illustrative purposes only.
6.1. The prize excludes:
6.1.1. Any travel costs to collect the vehicle;
6.1.2. Fuel, insurance, licence registration, and ongoing maintenance;
6.2. The winner must:
6.2.1. Provide a valid South African ID and driver's licence;
6.2.2. Complete all necessary registration documentation as required by the relevant traffic authority;
6.2.3. Collect the vehicle from a specified Lepas dealership within 30 days of being notified, or the prize may be forfeited.
6.3. Risk and ownership of the vehicle pass to the winner upon handover.
6.4. The vehicle is subject to the standard manufacturer warranty and service plan. Details will be provided upon handover.
6.5. Tax Liability: The winner is solely responsible for any income tax or other fiscal liability that may arise from accepting the prize.
7.1. One winner will be selected by a random electronic draw from all valid entries (including bonus entries) received during the Competition Period.
7.2. The draw will be conducted under the supervision of an independent auditor within 7 working days after the closing date.
7.3. The Promoters' decision is final. No correspondence will be entered into.
8.1. The winner will be contacted via the telephone number and/or email provided on entry.
8.2. The Promoters will attempt to contact the winner 3 times over 48 hours.
8.3. If the winner cannot be contacted, is ineligible, or fails to claim the prize as required, the Promoters reserve the right to select a replacement winner by redraw.
9.1. Entry limit: One free entry per person regardless of method. Proof of entry submission is not proof of receipt.
9.2. The Promoters reserve the right to verify any entry and disqualify any entrant suspected of fraud, cheating, or providing false information.
9.3. The Promoters may cancel, suspend, or amend the competition and/or rules if necessary due to circumstances outside their reasonable control, with notice provided where possible.
9.4. Participation constitutes consent for the Promoters to process your personal information for the purposes of the competition, in accordance with POPIA and the Promoters' privacy policies (available on their websites).
9.5. The winner may be required to participate in reasonable publicity (photograph/video) and consent to the use of their name and likeness in promotional material.
9.6. Liability: To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Promoters, their affiliates, and their agents shall not be liable for any loss, damage, cost, expense, or injury (including indirect or consequential loss) arising from participation in this competition or acceptance/use of the prize, except in the case of gross negligence or wilful misconduct.
9.7. These Rules are governed by South African law. The courts of South Africa shall have exclusive jurisdiction.
This is a promotional competition as defined in the Consumer Protection Act, 2008. Entry is not dependent on any purchase, payment, or other consideration, as a free entry method is clearly provided. No fees are charged to enter.
